Hello everyone, as probably you know we spent the last 10 days in Cancun Mexico, we really wanted to go somewhere warm and tropical and definitely we made the right choice, we loved Cancun! I would definitely go back and if you are looking for your next vacations Cancun has to be at least on your list.  

We decided to stay one week in Cancun and during that week we stayed in the Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa   we loved this place, the beach is so beautiful, service, food ( by the way, my favorite of the 3 places we stayed)  activities, etc. that week the resort was  full so, you have to consider that, we ask and it is always full of people, I think is perfect for a family vacation. During that week we also took a tour on a ferry to visit Isla Mujeres.

Hola a todas, como probablemente saben, pasamos los últimos 10 días en Cancún, México, realmente queríamos ir a un lugar cálido y tropical y definitivamente tomamos la decisión correcta, ¡nos encantó Cancún! Definitivamente regresaría y si estás buscando por tus próximas vacaciones, Cancún debe estar al menos en su lista.

Decidimos quedarnos una semana en Cancún y durante esa semana  nos quedamos en el Dreams Sands Cancún Resort & Spa, nos encantó este lugar, la playa es tan hermosa, el servicio, la comida (por cierto, mi favorito de los 3 lugares en los que nos alojamos) actividades, etc. esa semana el complejo estaba lleno, así que tienes que considerar eso, preguntamos y siempre está lleno de gente, creo que es perfecto para unas vacaciones familiares. Durante esa semana tambien tomamos un tour en un ferri para visitar Isla mujeres.

For the weekend we wanted to stay in a more private and peaceful place and we decided to stay in the Sandos Cancun lifestyle Resort, I really fell in love with this place, it is a relatively small resort but I loved it so much,  the pools are just gorgeous, and the poolside areas are just beautiful and comfortable, the restaurants are gorgeous and the food so delicious; this is a perfect place for a honeymoon or anniversary vacations.

Para el fin de semana queríamos estar en un lugar más privado y tranquilo y decidimos quedarnos en el Sandos Cancún lifestyle resort, realmente me enamoré de este lugar, es un complejo relativamente pequeño, pero me encantó tanto, las piscinas son preciosas, y las áreas junto a la piscina son hermosas y cómodas, los restaurantes son preciosos y la comida es deliciosa; este es un lugar perfecto para unas vacaciones de luna de miel o aniversario.

And our last destination was the Riviera Maya, we wanted to explore a little bit the ruins ( I’m passionate about Mesoamerican Culture and ruins in general) so, we decided to travel to Playa del Carmen which is about 40 minutes from Cancun and stay there and from there travel to Tulum & Chichen Itza in Yucatan.  We did not reserve a place so, we book one in Playa del Carmen and we found the Grant Rivera Princess Resort and we stay there, this is a huge, Huge! resort and is an open place with more green areas, I loved the pool, but the beach & food was not my favorite; but we really did not stay too much there because we travel first to Tulum, we visit the ruins, is a small area but so beautiful, it sits on a rocky cliff that ends on a white sand beach that overlooks the turquoise sea. it’s a paradise there,  that view is everything.

Y nuestro último destino fue la Riviera Maya, queríamos explorar un poco las ruinas ( soy una apasionada a la cultura Mesoamericana), así que decidimos viajar a Playa del Carmen, que está a unos 40 minutos de Cancún y permanecer allí y desde allí viajar a Tulum y Chichen Itza en Yucatán. No reservamos un lugar así que buscamos uno en Playa del Carmen y encontramos el Grant Rivera Princess Resort y nos quedamos allí, este es un gran complejo, enorme! y es un lugar abierto con más áreas verdes, me encantó la piscina, pero la playa y la comida no fue mi favorita; pero realmente no nos quedamos demasiado allí porque viajamos primero a Tulum, visitamos las ruinas, es un área pequeña pero muy hermosa, se asienta sobre un acantilado rocoso que termina en una playa de arena blanca que domina el mar turquesa. es un paraíso allí, esa vista lo es todo.

Next day we travel to Chichen Itza about two hours from Playa del Carmen, we decided not to take a tour with the hotel because we were traveling with a baby, baby Landon,  so we decided to go on our own; the person who took us speaks Mayan so He taught us some Maya words, he was so friendly and kind; we stopped to a beautiful city going to Chichen Itza called Valladolid, a beautiful city that reminded me my hometown in Honduras. very picturesque, cozy, quiet and stately; we stopped there for lunch and in the restaurant, there is a stunning cenote ( last two pics), it was just magical.

Al día siguiente viajamos a Chichén Itzá a unas dos horas de Playa del Carmen, decidimos no hacer un recorrido con el hotel porque estábamos viajando con un bebé, bebé Landon, así que decidimos hacerlo por nuestra cuenta; la persona que nos llevó habla Maya así que nos enseñó algunas palabras en maya, fue muy amable y amigable; nos detuvimos en una hermosa ciudad que esta llendo a Chichén Itzá llamada Valladolid, una hermosa ciudad que me recordó mi ciudad natal en Honduras; muy pintoresca, acogedora, tranquila y señorial; paramos allí para almorzar y en el restaurante, hay un impresionante cenote ( son las ultimas dos fotos), fue simplemente mágico.

The last day we decided to go to the pool all day long, we really got tan that last day guys, but we really loved it, we enjoyed the big pool, the music, strawberry smoothies (my favorites) and of course the tacos!.

El último día decidimos ir a la piscina todo el día, realmente nos bronceamos ese último día chicos, pero realmente nos encantó, disfrutamos de la gran piscina, la música, los batidos de fresa (mis favoritos) y por supuesto los tacos!.
