Hola amigas, hoy estoy muy emocionada de compartirles este post! Landon Kade cumple 4 años hoy y me siento muy agradecida a la vida por El; este año ha sido para mi personalmente el mejor año hasta ahora con Landon, nuestra conexión de madre a hijo a sido increible! Ahora el puede hablar muy bien y expresar sus emociones de manera que hemos podido entendernos y comunicarnos mejor! Hoy quiero compartirles algunas lecciones aprendidas junto a El este año, espero les guste, inspire y me permita a mi de esta forma guardar estos recuerdos tan especiales.

Hello friends, I am very excited to share this post with all of you! Landon Kade turns 4 years old today and I am very grateful to have him; This year has been for me, personally, the best year so far with Landon, our connection from mother to son has been incredible! Now he can speak very well and express his emotions in a way that we have been able to understand and communicate better! Today I want to share with you some lessons learned with him this year, I hope you like it, inspire and allow me in this way to keep these special moments alive.

No solo criamos niños físicamente pero emocionalmente sanos: A medida que he ido madurando y la vida me a ido dando oportunidades he entendido que nuestra parte emocional y mental es trascendental para llevar una vida sana y plena; deseo que Landon crezca con una salud emocional estable en la medida de lo posible; este año hemos leido mucho sobre las diferentes emociones, el hecho que está bien sentirnos algunas veces tristes, enojados, frustrados etc. pero que lo importante es encontrar maneras positivas de reponernos! Nuestro lema es no hacemos problemas, solucionamos problemas! Siempre se lo digo a el, Landon, no gritamos, hablamos, no exigimos, pedimos y siempre damos gracias. Se que el ambiente emocional en el que Landon se desenvuelva tendrá un impacto trascendental en su vida de niño, de joven, en su adultes y en su comportamiento con los demás.

We not only raise physically but emotionally healthy children: As I have matured and life has given me opportunities I have understood that our emotional and mental part is essential to lead a healthy and full life; I want Landon to grow up in stable emotional health as war as possible; this year we have been reading a lot about different emotions, the fact that it is okay to feel sad, angry, frustrated, etc. at times but, the important thing is to find positive ways to recover! Our motto has been: we don’t make problems, we solve problems! I always tell him, Landon, we don’t yell, we talk, we don’t demand, we ask, and we always give thanks. I know that the emotional environment in which Landon develops will have a momentous impact on his life as a child, youth, adulthood, and his behavior with others.

Aprender de Cristo: Landon ama cantar y escuchar música así que esta ha sido la mejor manera que he encontrado de enseñarle sobre Jesucristo; honestamente, no quiero solo enseñarle religión, quiero enseñarle sobre Jesucristo, sobre cómo vivió una vida perfecta, pero perfecta no porque no se enojó o reprendió o estuvo triste, sino porque todo lo que hizo, todo lo que enseñó, todo su ejemplo lo hizo con amor, quiero que Landon aprenda sobre sus atributos y encuentre una manera de desarrollarlos poco a poco en su vida; mi deseo es que Landon crezca con una mente abierta, con aceptación a toda persona no importando sus preferencias religiosas, deseo que sea libre de pensar y elegir y la herramienta que le he ofrecido y proporcionado para lograrlo es una, la vida de Jesucristo.

Learning about Christ: Landon loves to sing and listen to music so this has been the best way I have found to teach him about Jesus Christ; Honestly, I don’t want to just teach him a religion, I want to teach him about Jesus Christ, about how he lived a perfect life but perfect life not because he didn’t get angry, or berated, or sad but because everything he did, everything he taught, all his example made it with love; I want Landon to learn about his attributes and find a way to develop them little by little in his life; my wish is that Landon grows up with an open mind, accepting everyone regardless of his religious preferences, I wish him to be free to think and choose and the tool that I have given him, offered him to achieve it is one, the life of Jesus Christ.

El valor y legado de una educación: Un legado que tengo de mi padre y el cual agradezco es que desde siempre el me inculcó la importancia de una educación secular, pero no solo una educación secular basada en un papel o certificado sino más bien una educación secular que nos ayude a ser más inteligentes en el trato con los demas, en tener la capacidad de servir a otros atravez de nuestros conocimientos; una de mis metas que tengo como mami de Landon es ayudarlo en su proceso de educarse y obtener una educacion secular a fin de que en el futuro sea un buen proveedor para su familia; Landon es un niño muy inteligente, se que soy su mamá y eso puedo parecer bastante subjetivo pero en realidad si que lo es; Durante estos meses en cuarenta el aprendió a leer y escribir cosas básicas, sabe leer y escribir el abecedario, conoce la fonética de cada letra, lee oraciones pequeñas, lee y sigue instrucciones en sus libros de tareas, escribe nombres completos etc. Se que este nuevo año tendremos nuevas experiencias a medida que vaya adentrándose en el mundo escolar y yo estoy muy emocionada de verlo crecer en sabiduria y conocimiento.

The value and legacy of education: A legacy that I have from my father and which I am grateful for is the importance of secular education, but not only education based on a paper or certificate but rather an education that helps us to be smarter in our behavior with others, in having the ability to serve others through our knowledge; one of the goals that I have as Landon’s mom is to help him in his process of educating himself, in getting an education so that in the future he will be a good provider for his family; Landon is a very intelligent child, I know that I am his mother and that may seem subjective but in reality it is; During these months in quarantine he learned to read and write basic things, he knows how to read and write the alphabet, he knows the phonetics of each letter, he reads small sentences, he reads and follows instructions in his homework books, he writes full names, etc. I know that this new year will bring us new experiences as we enter the school world and I’m so so excited to see him grow in wisdom and knowledge.

No forzamos, Enseñamos! Otro gran logro de este año y que personalmente a mi me preocupaba mucho era el entrenamiento para ir al baño! No quise forzarlo, nunca lo hice y estoy agradecida por esa decisión!. Le enseñe lo que necesitaba saber, sobre el baño, fuimos y elegimos juntos sus primeros calzoncillos, eligió de paw patrol por supuesto!!! Y el decidía cuando ir a sentarse y esperar! Una semana duraron los accidentes pero luego de ella era todo un experto, Todo un logro para ambos!! Todo un niño grande!. muchas veces nos preocupamos de más, y al final nos damos cuenta que resultaron más fáciles de lo que pensábamos o espectamos pero sobretodo comprobé una vez más que debemos dar espacio a los demás, cada quien tiene sus tiempos y maneras; estoy muy agradecida por la virtud de la empatía, la aceptación y la paciencia.

We do not force, we teach Another great achievement for us this year and that I personally was worry about was potty training! I didn’t want to force it, I never did and I am grateful for that decision! I taught him about fluids, the toilet and gave him options with the potty chair, we went and chose his first underwear together, he chose some of the paw patrols, of course, I prepared the environment and he decided when was the time!!! The accidents lasted for a week but after that, he was an expert, Quite an achievement!!. Many of us worry more about some things and at the end, we realize that were easier than we thought and expect but above all, I verified once again that we must give space to others, each one has their times and ways; I am very grateful for the virtue of empathy, acceptance, and patience.

Hechos divertidos: Landon ama presentarse, decir su nombre y presentar a su mamá y papá a otros, Olive Garden es su lugar favorito para ir a comer, le encanta sentirse un big boy y tiene la ilusión de crecer grande como mamá y papa, ama ir en caminata por el vecindario, colectar manzanas y piedras y hacer 2 oraciones diferentes por las noches, la que sale de su corazón y la especial que mamá le ha enseñado del Padre Nuestro.

Fun Facts: Landon loves to introduce himself, say his name and introduce his mom and dad to others, Olive Garden is his favorite place to eat, he loves to feel like a big boy and has the illusion of growing up big as mom and dad, he loves going on a walk around the neighborhood, collect apples and stones and say 2 different prayers at night, the one that comes from his heart and the special one that mom has taught him, the Our Father.

Amo tanto a Landon, encuentro en él mucho que aprender, mucho que amar mientras trato de darle lo mismo de mí parte. Si eres mamá y estás luchando con algunas cosas, te prometo que pasarán y todo estará más que bien con el tiempo, mantente positiva que todas estamos juntas en esto.

I love Landon so much, I find in him a lot to learn, a lot to love while I try to give him the same from me. If you are a mom and you are struggling with some things I promise you that will pass and everything will be more than ok with time, stay positive that we all are in this together.
