Happy 2020 friends! I hope this new year brings you the best of life; This year for my birthday we took a trip to NYC, I wanted to do something different to make it a little extra special. New York at Christmas is beautiful and although I’m not that kind of “city girl” I had a great time with my little family and two of my very close friends that are visiting us from Houston Texas. In this post, I will be sharing how our 48 hours in the big city looks like. Hope you like it.

Este año, para mi cumpleaños, hicimos un viaje a Nueva York, quería hacer algo diferente para hacerlo un poco más especial. Nueva York en Navidad es hermoso y, aunque no soy ese tipo de chica de ciudad, la pasé muy bien con mi pequeña familia y dos de mis amigas que nos visitan desde Houston, Texas. We drove for about 4 hours from Boston, and we arrived around noon at the hotel; we stayed at the Paramount Times Square Hotel that is located in the heart of times square and very close to the broadway shows.

Manejamos alrededor de 4 horas desde Boston, y llegamos alrededor del mediodía al hotel; Nos alojamos en el Paramount Times Square Hotel que se encuentra en el corazón de Times Square y muy cerca de los espectáculos de Broadway.

First, we decided to go to Top of the Rock in the Rockefeller Center, we bought tickets there and went to experience that spectacular view of the city. a must to do if you go to NYC. (If you want to avoid lines I recommend you to buy tickets online) At night, we attended the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular show, I have been waiting to go and experience a show in NYC so, I made sure to include it on this trip. For this show, I booked the tickets in advance, since tickets at this time of the year tend to sold out very quickly. The show is amazing highly recommend it.

Primero, decidimos ir a Top of the Rock en el Rockefeller Center, compramos boletos allí y fuimos a experimentar esa espectacular vista de la ciudad. (Si deseas evitar las colas, les recomiendo que compren boletos en línea). The next day we started our day with breakfast at the Times Square Diner & Grill restaurant; we ate delicious omelets and pancakes. Then we head out to the 5th avenue famous for the shops and the St. Patrick Cathedral which I definitely recommend it to visit. After lunch, we went to Central Park, Landon enjoyed playing at the kids’ park, the park is huge! there are so many things to do and explore like carriage rides, skating rink, etc. I particularly wanted to visit the Bow Bridge it is so beautiful! these pictures were taken there. and as a family tradition, always that we travel somewhere is on our list to visit our church temple so, this wasn’t the exception.

Al día siguiente comenzamos nuestro día con el desayuno en el restaurante Times Square Diner & Grill; Comimos omelets y panqueques deliciosos. Luego nos dirigimos a la 5ta avenida famosa por las tiendas y la Catedral de San Patricio, que definitivamente recomiendo visitar. Después del almuerzo, fuimos a Central Park, Landon disfrutó jugando en el parque infantil, ¡el parque es enorme! hay tantas cosas que hacer y explorar, como paseos en carruajes, pistas de patinaje, etc. En particular, quería visitar el Puente del Arco, ¡es tan hermoso! Estas fotos fueron tomadas allí. y como tradición, siempre que viajamos está en nuestra lista para visitar el templo de nuestra iglesia, así que esta no fue la excepción.
